Filming the Balkan Express Documentary Series

Between 2008 and 2011, we ran the filming, post-production, and color grading for two prominent national television documentary series on Greek public broadcasters (ERT HD and ET3):

• "Η Γειτονιά μας τα Βαλκάνια" (Our Balkan Neighborhood - ERT HD)
• "Balkan Express" (Balkan Express - ET3)

Production & Cine-Grading Workflow

The projects required capturing the diverse cultural landscapes, remote towns, and historical architecture of the Balkan peninsula:

• Cinematic Photography: Directing the visual style of the series using high-definition camera rigs to achieve rich textures and natural tones.
• Color Grading & Shading: Developing a unified, earthy color signature matching the historical and geographical themes of the stories.
• AVID & Final Cut Editing: Managing multi-track video editing, timing, and synchronization with soundscapes and time-lapse sequences.

The series received praise for its cinematic quality, establishing a benchmark for cultural travel documentaries on Greek television.
